Gerald N. Burnham passed away on October 31, 2016. He was born to Alfred and Helen Burnham on November 24,1923. He was born in Hoquiam, Washington. He later moved with his parents to Rainier, Washington and lived there until going into the United States Army during WWII. After his enlistment in the Army, Jerry (as he was always called) went home to Rainer where he met and married Nadine Layton. They resided in Port Orchard, Washington. They were married for 67 years. Jerry worked in the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington until he retired. Jerry loved sports of all kinds. He was active in all kinds of sports from playing golf to coaching baseball and umpiring. He also loved to hunt. Jerry was very proud of being a United States Veteran and his name was placed on the memorial wall in downtown Port Orchard. Jerry is survived by his brothers Tom Burnham, Rusty Burnham, and Joe Burnham, and Charles Burnham all of Rainer. Two sisters, Udella Parkland and Gloria Carver who also live in Rainer. Jerry joins his brother Jim Burnham, His sister Dorthey Burnham, and his daughter Teresa (Teri) Burnham in heaven. Leaving behind a daughter Tammy Burnham- Ashley. Jerry has 5 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He will be missed by many family members and in-laws. He will remain loved in our memories.
