Gerald Steven Gazda (Jerry) was born on May 12, 1940 in Great Falls, Montana to Steven Gerald Gazda and Dorothea Jane Gazda. Jerry passed away on February 28, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Cholthicha Chaichoo (known to many of her friends as Ann), whom he married on July 27, 1993. Jerry has two children Catharine (Ken) Barnes and Steven Gazda; three grandchildren Nathan Truit, Quin Truit and Taryn Sawyer; four great-grandchildren; and many other family members. He also had many friends including Dave (who predeceased Jerry) and Shirley Hardman and Dan and Irene Caulpetzer. Jerry served in the navy for 21 years. After retiring from the navy in 1978 he worked as an electrician for Pan American Airways and Johnson Controls. In his earlier years Jerry enjoyed travel, once flying on Pan Am around the world, stopping in many countries, with his friends Dan and Irene. In all he visited 31 countries. He bowled with Dan until about six years ago. Jerry was an avid reader. His favorite books were novels, but especially adventure thrillers such as those by James Patterson and other writers.
