Gerald David Sanford, born January 10, 1937 in Bremerton, WA, died peacefully in his sleep on April 2, 2004 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton surrounded by his family. Son of George and Bluette (Uberti) Sanford, Gerald grew up in Seabeck, WA, graduated from Central Kitsap High School in June 1955 and served in the National Guard from 1955 to 1957. He married Barbara Daniels of Bremerton in January 1958. Gerald lived in Des Moines while he worked for the Boeing Company for 37 years retiring in 1993 as Superintendent of Manufacturing at the Renton plant. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time at his home on Hood Canal with his loving family. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Barbara, of Belfair, WA; daughter Kristy and son-in-law Tim Troxel, of Auburn, WA; son Jerry and daughter-in-law Charlein, of Gig Harbor, WA; grandchildren, Brad and Jeff Troxel, and Lexi and Lauren Sanford; sister LaNelle Settelmeyer, of Silverdale, WA; and brother George Sanford, of Tucson, AZ.
