Glenn Allen Bauman

February 20, 1941 — November 6, 2019

Glenn Allen Bauman, 78, of Port Orchard WA, was called home to be with Jesus on November 6th, 2019 at Orchard Point Memory Care in Port Orchard WA, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Glenn was born February 20th, 1941 in Salem Oregon to Harry and Alice (Smith) Bauman. Glenn graduated from North Salem High School in 1959 and Willamette University in 1963. After graduating, Glenn began working for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the Acoustic Noise Branch and later for David Taylor Naval Ship Research and Development Center. On October 4, 1963 he married his wife Carol and they moved to Bremerton WA, eventually settling in Port Orchard where they raised their family. Glenn spent his time working on cars, hiking in the Cascades, Olympics, and Wallowa Mountains, fishing, playing cards, building a house on Bear Lake, and keeping himself up to date on all things computer related. He was also an active member of the Bremerton Nazarene church, serving on the church board and teaching discipleship classes. He also enjoyed RVing with his wife Carol, traveling around the western US and wintering in Arizona.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father Harry Bauman, his mother Alice (Smith) Bauman, his stepfather Robert Bauman, and his daughter Diana (Bauman) Taylor.

Glenn was survived by his wife Carol (Ferguson) Bauman, daughter Debra (Bauman) Newberry and husband John of Weiser ID, and son Chuck Bauman and wife Shannon of Southworth WA. Grandchildren Alex (Bryn) Bauman, Seabeck, WA, Maranda (PJ) Thielke, Lansing MI, Aubrey Westlund, Boise ID, Justin (Shanna) Webb, Boise ID, Austin Webb, Boise ID, “Chas” Charles (Lucinda) Bauman, London UK, Rachel (Chase) Roebecker, Bozeman MT and Great-Grandchildren Alex Jr., Eleanor. Lou, Eilish, Carter, Kennedy, and two more on the way.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 Saturday, March 4th, at the LifePoint Church of the Nazarene 924 Sheridan Rd, Bremerton.
