Gloria Ehlert

In loving memory of Gloria Joan Ehlert, 53, who went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2008 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born January 17, 1955 in Bremerton, WA. to Neil and Beryl  Shauers. On August 17, 1973 she married her childhood sweetheart Harold Ehlert. They settled in Port Orchard in 1978, where they made a home with their two daughters.  Gloria was a very loving and devoted woman with a passion for life, a homemaker dedicated to her family. She had a great love for the outdoors: gardening, camping, fishing and hiking. She enjoyed cooking, taking long scenic drives, garage sales, family trips, picnics and gatherings - her favorite being our annual trip to Pacific Beach- jumping in the Ocean waves with her grandchildren and beach campfires with S'mores.  She is survived by her husband Harold; daughters: Angie Schauer (Jason) & Alisa; grandchildren: Blake, Bryce, Karisah, Desirae & Jocelyn; her mother Beryl; brothers: Alan, Rodney & Carl and her sister Carol Bannon. She is now reunited with her father Neil who preceeded her in death.  Visitation from 5-7pm on July 1st at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Celebration of Life on July 2nd at 1pm followed by interment at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.  A reception will follow interment on the upper level of the Eagles Hall located at 4001 Jackson Ave in Port Orchard.
