Glory E. Delaney, 61, died at her home in Port Orchard, Washington on February 25, 2007. She was born on October 2, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Ned & Gloria (St. Peter) Evans. She graduated from high school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1963 and attended Pierce College in Tacoma, Washington. She married Fred Delaney, Jr. in Level Plains, Alabama on April 15, 1967. Glory was a Cosmetologist for the past 25 years and owned beauty salons in Port Orchard, Silverdale and Poulsbo. She was an Army Warrant Officer's wife and served by her husband's side for 26 years. Glory was artistic and enjoyed doing various crafts. She was an extreme animal lover - especially of cats. She was a member of Tacoma Weavers Guild, a Girl Scout Leader, and member of St. Gabriel and St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Churches. Surviving are her husband Fred; son Fred Delaney III of Fort Drum, New York (recently returned from Afghanistan); daughters Theresa Louise Delaney of Seattle and Heather Layne Delaney of Port Orchard; brothers Thomas (Mona) Evans of California and Richard Evans of Florida; and sister Christine (Michael) Frankowski. She was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Alexander. Visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard on March 1, 2007. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on March 2, 2007 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
