Gregory B. Lancaster, 68, of Port Orchard, Washington, passed away on June 21, 2024. Born in Bremerton on August 30, 1955, to Kenneth and Phyllis Lancaster, he remained a lifelong resident of the area.
Greg dedicated 37 years of his career to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and served as a volunteer firefighter for 15 years, where he rose to the rank of Battalion Chief. His commitment to community service was profound and deeply appreciated by all who worked alongside him.
An avid bowler, Greg was honored by being elected to the Kitsap County Bowling Hall of Fame in 1996. His love for bowling was matched by his passion for woodworking, gardening, and home improvement projects, which brought him much joy and satisfaction.
Known affectionately as Uncle Quack Quack or UncleQQ, Greg's warm personality and generous spirit made him a beloved figure within his community and especially among his family and friends.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kimmie Lancaster; sons, Michael and Bobby Lancaster (Sarah); sisters, Phyllis Olson and Cheryl Barrett, and many other cherished family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Phyllis Lancaster.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service. Greg's life and legacy will continue to be celebrated privately by his family and friends, honoring his memory in the way he desired.
