Harold Roger Bridges

Harold R. Bridges 74, left us to be with the Lord December 19, 2012. He was born in Olympia WA. last residing in Kitsap County, WA.
He joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 1958 then transferred into the U.S. Navy 1958-1962. After his service in the military he worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Supply Center, retiring after 30 years in 1993.
Harold was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed boating, fishing and clam digging at the ocean. He loved and cherished his children Diana and Greg very much, and enjoyed spending time with and was exceptionally proud of his grandson’s; Christopher and Ryan Bridges. He also looked forward to visits with his great-grandson Noah and tried desperately to hang in there so he could meet his great-grandson Owen, expected to arrive in April 2013.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold W. Bridges and Alice Bridges (Johnson); brother Steve Bridges; brother-in-law Paul Suja. Survivors include son Greg (Shana)Bridges; daughter Diana (Charles) Dunn, both of WA; brothers Robert (Jeanie) Bridges of OK and Bart Bridges; sisters Carol Suja, Peggy (Wayne) Weedon, Linda (Ken) Slavich of Olympia - all of Washington; grandchildren Christopher Bridges (U.S.A.F.) Las Vegas, NV. Ryan (Lindsey) Bridges Port Orchard WA; step-grandchildren Haliya and Josiah Charley of Olympia, WA; great-grandchildren Noah Bridges of Las Vegas, NV and soon to be Owen Bridges Port Orchard; step-great- grandchild Kahlia Gray of Port Orchard.
At Harold’s request there will be no formal services.
