Harold ''Boots'' Sarver was born in Colfax, Washington on Decmeber 14th. He has one sister and five brothers. He lived in the country growing up and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and family gatherings when young. His nickname came from wearing high top boots!''Boots'' graduated from high school and had a variety of jobs. Fireman in Spokane, Policeman in Colfax, restaurant owner and concrete inspector for Bureau of Reclamation in Culver City. He went to work locally as a supervisor at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years.''Boots'' and Doris, his lovely wife, just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 28, 2000. They have 3 children - Bill, Jan and Brad, and 6 grandchildren.''Boots'' was a wonderful family man with a quick wit and a tremendous love for family and friends. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, camping and hiking with the family. He was a member of the Elks and the Bowling President for 25 years. In retirement, he enjoyed going to Reno and spent a few winters in Arizona.Visitation is Tuesday, October 10, 2000 from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Wednesday, October 11th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Graveside Service will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at 3:00pm.
