Harold Danel

Harold Francis Danel of Port Orchard, Washington died February 10, 2004 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was 78. He was born November 30, 1925 in Bremerton, Washington to Ralph and Elva (Templeton) Danel. Harold married Hazel Joy (Vant) Danel December 6, 1947 in Bremerton, Washington. He graduated from Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Washington in 1944. Harold served in the U.S. Army from 1943 - 1946 . . . attaining rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked 30 years for Darigold Dairy. Harold was a member of Port Orchard Yacht Club; St. Vincent de Paul; Knights of Columbus, American Legion; Manette Pioneers; and, was an usher at Saint Gabriel's for 30 years. He was Catholic. Harold is survived by his wife - Hazel Joy (Vant) Danel of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; daughters - Kathleen Duffy (& husband, William) of Bremerton, Washington and Marsha Pfeiffer (& husband, Steven) of Chula Vista, California; sister - Ruth (Danel) Blasberg; 6 grandhcildren (Elizabeth Nieva, Kris "Skye" Neill, Sarah Binns, Rebecca Duffy, Melissa Neill, Benjamin Pfeiffer); 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: daughter - Susan (Danel) Neill and brother - Al Holmes. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon on February 13, 2004 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, Washington. A funeral mass will be held at Noon on February 13, 2004 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Interment will follow service on February 13, 2004 at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington.
