Harold Earl Fallstrom, 80, of Port Orchard, WA, died December 25, 2005 at his home. He was born January 6, 1925, in Roy, WA, to George Allen and Olive Jane (Thompson) Fallstrom. He graduated from Roy High School in 1943 and then served in the Marines from 1943 to 1946. Harold served as a tank crewman and operator and fought in the battles of Saipan and Tinian. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He married Miriam Callow on May 29, 1965. She preceded him in death on September 28, 2003. Harold worked in civil service at Mt. Rainier Ordinance Depot and Sub-Base Bangor as a missile handler and rigger. He also worked for PanAm and drove bus. He retired in 1980. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, clam digging, and traveling to all 50 states and Europe with his beloved wife. He is survived by sons Arthur Louis Berry and wife Arlene, of Port Orchard, Richard Fallstrom, of Bremerton, David G. Barry and companion Dori Shobert, of Port Orchard, Dan Fallstrom and wife Glenda, of Port Orchard, and Brian T. Berry and wife Crystal, of Port Orchard; daughter Elizabeth Knutson and husband Todd, of Graham, WA; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 1:00PM, at Rill?s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
