Harold Harty

Fred ''Harold'' Harty, 87 of Harper, Washington died at Orchard Pointe in Port Orchard on April 3, 2001. He was born on August 6, 1913 in Seattle, Washington to Arthur B. & Ethel L. (Kinney) Harty. Fred graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle and married Edith Louvain Todhunter on June 3, 1934 in Seattle.Mr. Harty worked for 49 years as a Machinist for J.D. Ott Manufacturing and Young Iron Works in South Seattle. He retired in 1983. Harold enjoyed boating and metal crafts.Surviving are his wife Louvain; sons Richard W. Harty of Port Orchard and Marlan ''Wade'' Harty of Manchester, Washington; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Ruth McPhillips.A Memorial Service will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Saturday, April 7, 2001 at 1:00pm. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County.
