Harold Hoak

Mr. Harold Walker Hoak, Age: 90, died of Coronary Artery Disease on February 21, 2002 while at the family's winter residence in Desert Hot Springs, California.Harold was born on July 29, 1911 in Attica, Kansas to Harry W. and Jennie(Coe)Hoak. On October 17, 1980 Harold married Rosemary Parkhurst Troy Pearsall in Moses Lake, Washington.He spent the next seventy seven years as a farmer. He had a farm in South Kitsap on the old "HolmanHomestead" for twenty five years. He then moved to Moses Lake where he farmed until he retired in 1992.Mr. Hoak truly enjoyed gardening and loved growing flowers. He was particularly fond of roses.He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; son, Robert Hoak of Kennewick, Washington; step-son, Gene Troy of Afton, Wyoming; daughters, Carolyn Winter of Moses Lake, and Gladys Alfano of Spokane, Washington; a step-daughter, Kay Harlan-Friedman of Tacoma, Washington; sisters, Helen Wilson of Escondido, California, and Gladys Ingram of Fallbrook, California; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie Hoak in 1979, and a son, Howard Hoak in 1993.Visitation for Mr. Hoak is scheduled at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.. A graveside memorial is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 27, 2002, at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard. There will also be a memorial service at Lakeview Missionary Church in Moses Lake, Washington on Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 2:00 p.m..Local arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.
