Harry William Balshuesman

Harry W. Balshuesman, 88, died in Gig Harbor on September 21, 2012. He was born on June 29, 1924.
He served in World War II and the Korean War. He was on the U.S. S. Hornet when we delivered the first attack on Japan after Pearl Harbor. He retired from the Navy in 1951 and was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, in which he took great pride.
He is survived by his son, grandchildren, family & friends.
A graveside service will be held on October 13, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. A Memorial Gathering will be held at 2pm at the VFW Post 2669, also in Port Orchard. Online memorial at www.rill.com .
