Hattie Jensen

Mrs. Hattie Jensen, 92, passed away on Saturday, January 23rd at her residence in Port Orchard, Washington.  She was born in Fort Ripley, Minnesota on January 5, 1918, the daughter of Wilhelm and Amelia Klapel. Hattie graduated from North Central Bible College in Minnesota in 1942. She was united in marriage to Orville Jensen on September 15, 1951 in Minneapolis.  A long time resident of Anoka, Minnesota, she was a member of the Minneapolis Gospel Tabernacle (Christ’s Church). She moved to Port Orchard, Washington in 1984 and was a member of Life Center in Tacoma, Washington.  Hattie was a homemaker and her interest included gardening, sewing, and baking. Mrs. Jensen was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by one son, Ken Jensen (& wife Julianne) of Port Orchard, Washington, one granddaughter, Gloria Jensen of Seattle, Washington, and one sister, Millie Klapel of Coon Rapids, Minnesota.  Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.  On line guest book may be signed at www.rill.com .  Memorial donations may be made to North Central University, 910 Elliot Ave. Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404, Alzheimer’s foundation of America, 322 Eight Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001 ( www.alzfdn.org ).
