Helen Elkin

Helen Jean (McLean) Elkin, 72, a resident of Port Orchard, died June 28, 2012 from complications after surgery.  She was born August 5, 1939 in Butte, Montana to Alex and Helen (Collins) McLean.  She attended schools in Seattle and Butte.  She was married to her husband, David Elkin, for 42 years. Helen loved making Teddy Bears by hand and collecting them, she also enjoyed crocheting.  She is survived by her loving husband, David; daughters Carla Williamson (Ken) and Teri Montooth; five grandchildren Ryan, Tori, Holly, Alix and Sydney; one great-grandchild Henry; two sisters Virginia Guay and Victoria Pauley; many nieces and nephews and countless friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill. Celebration of Life and potluck reception will be at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 4001 Jackson Avenue, SE, Port Orchard, WA, Saturday July 14th, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
