Helen P Enzler

Helen P. Enzler, 98, died on April 5, 2018, in Port Orchard WA.
Helen was born January 14, 1920, in Portland, OR, to Agnes and Westley Patton. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended business school in Portland, OR. She married Frank A. Enzler June 14, 1941. After Frank returned from his Army Air Force duty during World War II in 1946, the family moved to Moses Lake, WA. Frank and Helen raised three children: Patricia A. Barden (Larry), Joanne M. Peterson (Richard), and James E. Enzler (Jean). Helen was a civilian court reporter for the US Air Force and worked at Larson AFB in Moses Lake and Fairchild AFB in Spokane for many years. She and Frank traveled extensively until 1988, when they purchased a home on Lake Mary Ronan, Montana, where they enjoyed the country living and the friendly community. In 1997 they moved to Port Orchard, WA, to be near their daughter, Joanne Peterson.
After Frank’s death in 1999, Helen moved to senior retirement living. There she enjoyed family and friends and had an active life attending local theater and The Seattle Symphony.
Survivors include her three children, six grandchildren: Jeff Barden (Tina), Gloria Wooten (Richard), Patti VanDyke (Jim), MaryAnn Rupp, Christopher Enzler (Crystal), and Mathew Enzler, and eight great grandchildren: Jacob Barden, Blake VanDyke, Austin VanDyke, Elizabeth Vergillo, Reece Rupp, Riley Rupp, Chloe Enzler, and Caden Enzler.
A graveside service officiated by her grandson Rev Mathew Enzler will be held on Saturday April 14th at 1:00 PM at Sunset Lane Cemetery: 1000 Bethel Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366. Arrangements took place at Rill’s Life Tribute Center: 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
