Helen M. Hatch, 80, died at her home in Port Orchard, WA on January 24, 2014. She was born May 15, 1933 in Benson, MN to Fayette & Edna (Legg) Ranney. She graduated from Northwestern Hospital Nursing School in Minneapolis, MN in 1954 and married Jay M. Hatch May 5, 1962 in San Francisco, CA.
Helen worked for 35 years as a Nurse at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed volunteer work, playing Bridge, and spending time with family. She was a member of Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church, Mary Bridge Brigade (Sue Dauser Guild) & Peninsula WIT.
Surviving are husband Jay; daughters Karen (Tim) deLacy and Mary Anne (Don) Van Doornik, both of Port Orchard; sister Ann Nelson of Minneapolis, MN; and grandchildren Joshua & Ben deLacy and Mark Van Doornik. She was preceded in death by brother Donald Ranney.
