Helen Kleffner, 89, went home to be with her Lord on January 29, 2008. She was born on May 2, 1918 in Stockett, Montana. She married Albert Kleffner from Belt, Montana in San Francisco on November 28, 1942. They moved to Port Orchard in 1945, following his service to the US Navy in WWII. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years in 1999. Helen enjoyed homemaking and was an excellent seamstress, cook and baker, and a flower gardener with a green thumb. She was surrounded by beautiful flower gardens that encouraged birds, bees, and butterflies to thrive under her appreciative eye. She was a member of the Christian Life Center and enjoyed the Prime Timers and a home bible study group. She is greatly loved and missed by her family. Helen is survived by three daughters, Jeanie Bradley of Ravensdale, Faye McRee of Port Orchard, and Joyce Kleffner of Ellsworth, Maine and also three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A sister Margaret Klasner and a brother Frank Bozik both of Great Falls, Montana, two nephews and four nieces also survive her. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Christian Life Center in Port Orchard on Saturday, February 9 at 1:00 pm.
