Helen Peterson

Helen R. Peterson of Bremerton, Washington died at her residence in Bremerton on January 4, 2005. She was 81. She was born January 26, 1923 in Shawano, Wisconsin to Albert F. and Ella (Mertins) Wasserman. Helen married Robert Peterson December 18, 1941 in Forest Park, Illinois. She graduated from Shawano High School in Shawano, Wisconsin in 1940. Helen was a homemaker for 63 years. Over the years, Mrs. Peterson's interests included swimming, travel, ceramics, reading and bowling. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Christian Schience churches throughout her life. Helen is survived by her husband - Robert "Bob" Peterson of the family home in Bremerton; sons - Bob Peterson of Columbus, Ohio, Jeffrey Peterson of Poulsbo, Washington; daughters - Cheryl Tucker (& husband, Richard) of Lake Forest, Illinois, Sandra Kuhlmann (& husband, David) of Silverdale, Washington, Leslie Robin Peterson of Walla Walla, Washington; brother - Kenneth Wasserman (& wife, Claire) of Austin, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother - Wallace Wasserman.
