Helen L. Thomas, 79 of Allyn Washington died in Port Orchard, Washington on April 14, 2007. She was born February 29, 1928 in Marengo County Iowa to Lester & Mae (Siler) Lawson. She graduated from Montesano High School in Montesano Washington and married Harold Thomas on August 28, 1948 in Montesano. Helen was Assistant Vice President of Operations for Seattle Trust & Saving Bank for 21 years. She was a member of the North Mason Methodist Church and enjoyed golf, quilting and piano. She sang in the church choir and had a special place in her heart for music. Surviving are her husband Harold; sons Harold (Debbie) Jr of Port Orchard and Ron of Redmond, Washington; daughter Patricia (Hugh) Burleson of Lopez Island, Washington; sisters Eloise (Ken) Harmia of Aberdeen, Washington, Mary Joe (Jim) Dehning of Oregon, and Dori (Ed) Lindstrom of Montesano; brothers Bruce (Alice) Lawson of California, Byron Lawson of California, and Bud Lawson of Oregon; 5 grandchildren; & 2 great-grandchildren Brother Marvin & sister Christine Musgrove preceded her in death. Memorial service at North Mason Methodist Church, 25140 NE State Rte 3 in Belfair on May 12, 2007 at 3:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Western and Central Washington, 12721 30th Ave NE Suite 101, Seattle WA 98125-4498.
