Helen Watkins

Helen E. Watkins, 99, of Port Orchard, died February 6th at Life Care Center. She was born May 7, 1910 in Kalispell, Mt to Henry & Emma Bassford. She married Frank B. Watkins in the 1940’s and he preceded her in death in 1975.  In the 1930’s Helen worked for a Real Estate company and the Seattle Star newspaper. In the 1950’s she was a Fire Lookout in Forks, WA and later worked for Sears and numerous retail stores. Helen loved ceramics and taught classes on the Makah Reservation in Neah Bay while her husband was stationed there and was a member of NARFE.  Survivors include her daughter Marquita Watkins, 4 Granddaughters, 7 Great Grandchildren & 11 Great Great Grandchildren.
