Helyne Anna Scriven, 77 of Port Orchard, died at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma on Sepetember 29, 2000. She was born on December 13, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to Christ & Anna (Giageos) Generis. She graduated from McKinnley High School in Chicago, Illinois in 1940. Helyne married James H. Scriven in Waukegan, Illinois on June 13, 1960.Mrs. Scriven was a Homemaker and also worked as an Office Clerk with the Justice Department in Chicago, Illinois for 15 years. She enjoyed needlework and ceramics.Surviving are husband James; son James C. Scriven of Hereford, Arizona; sisters Stella Valos of Fort Worth, Texas, Paula Brunner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Faye Rumel of Orland Park, Illinois; and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2000 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at 2:00pm at Rill Chapel. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington at 10:30am on thursday, October 5, 2000.
