Henrietta A. Nail - long-time resident of Port Orchard, Washington - died peacefully of natural causes in Port Orchard on July 25, 2004. She was 92. Henrietta was born February 17, 1912 in Wichita, Kansas to Henry and Julia (Hammond) Herold. *Henry was an Ellis Island immigrant. She married Orvill O. Nail in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from high school in Wichita, Kansas in 1930. Henrietta was a welder (started as a welder from Portland Shiypard - moved to Port Orchard area; after WWII she was converted to keypunch then became supervisor of computer section at Naval Supply Depot). She was employed 30 years - retiring in 1978. She enjoyed flowers; was a member of Long Lake Garden Club; enjoyed ceramics and decorating. She loved cooking - especially baking apple pies. Henrietta was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. She is survived by son - Orville Nail (& wife, Kris) of Port Orchard, Washington; Daughters - Veda Gillham (& husband, Ben) of Kansas, Katherine Pattison (& husband, Bob) of California, Nancy Richmond (& husband, Mike) of Japan, Cynthia McClary (& husband, Curtis) of Port Orchard, Washington; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great/great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by husband - Orvill O. Nail, son - Dennis Wayne Nail, daughters - Zelphia Corsette and Patricia Brookshire. A funeral will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on July 30, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park following the funeral on July 30, 2004.
