Henry Edward Rodstol, 86, of Port Orchard, WA, died May 20, 2002 at the Evergreen Nursing Rehab Center in Olympia, WA.He was born August 11, 1915 in Harper, WA, to Ole Olsen and Pernille Sophia (Sather) Rodstol.Henry graduated from Vashon High School on Vashon Island, WA, in 1934.He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European Theater during WWII. Henry met Freda Leighton while stationed in England. They married October 14, 1944 in Norwich, England.Henry worked as a rigger at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA, for 34 years, retiring in 1974. Henry enjoyed traveling, gardening and was a member of Harper Evangelical Free Church.Survivors include son James Rodstol and wife Sandi, of Connell, WA; daughters Perki Sweet and husband Peter, of Olympia, WA, and Charlotte Mullen, and husband David, of New Castle, WA; brothers Laurence Rodstol, of Seattle, WA, Leonard Rodstol, of Harper, WA, and Harry Rodstol, of Wenatchee, WA; and 6 grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Freda in 1995, brothers Olaf and Oswald Rodstol, and a sister Margaret Westlund.Services will be held Friday, May 24, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. at the Harper Evangelical Free Church. Viewing will be Friday, from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon at Rill Chapel. Memorials can be made to Harper Evangelical Free Church, Drawer "E", Southworth, WA, 98386.
