Herman Louie Spieker of Port Orchard, Washington died January 1, 2005 at Ridgemont Terrace. He was 83. He was born August 8, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York to Herman and Johanna (Flathmann) Spieker. Herman married Julia T. (Klingler) Spieker December 26, 1943 in Queens, New York. He served in the U.S. Army from 1938 - 1942. Herman worked at Convair in San Diego, California assembling airplanes for over 20 years - retiring in 1975. He enjoyed bowling; belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Club in California; enjoyed woodworking and collecting model trains. Herman was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He is survived by daughter - Lorraine Stanphill (& husband, Herman) of Port Orchard, Washington; 4 grandchildren (Julia Burwell, Jack Smith, Michael Stanphill, Sherie Vint); 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great/great-grandchild. Herman was preceded in death by brother - Ernest Spieker. There are no services scheduled. Inurnment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
