Herminia Yldefonzo Reyes, 73, died at her home in Port Orchard August 20, 2011. She was born September 15, 1937 in Makati, Rizal, Philippines to Teofilio & Manuela (Ella) Yldefonzo. She attended the Far Eastern University and University of East College. She married Ronald “Ronnie” Reyes on March 10, 1959 in San Francisco, CA. He preceded her in death in 1989. Hermie worked as a Sales Associate for JC Penney. She was a member of the Filipino-American Community of Kitsap County and St. Gabriel Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, “gallivanting” with friends, and storytelling. Surviving are daughters Karen (Mark) Vanlandingham of Snohomish, WA and Rachel (Brad Fleming) Leathers of Port orchard; sister Norma Yldefonzo Arganda of Snohomish; grandchildren Josh, Teri & Ryan; friends Lavonne, Don & Lenny from Park Vista and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends & adopted sons. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Porfirio, Emilio, Philip & Carlos. The family would like to thank Park vista staff for making Mom’s last 4 years enjoyable. Funeral Mass 11:00 am on August 26, 2011 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard with a Rosary prior to the service at 10:30 am and visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
