Hila I. Whitson, 92 of Port Orchard, Washington, died on February 3, 2001. She was born in Woodstock, Iowa on February 3, 2001 to Warren & Bertha (Stipp) Smalley.Hila married Robert Hiram Whitson who preceded her in death in 1975. Mrs. Whitson was a homemaker and 50 year member of Wenas Grange in Selah, Washington.Surviving are daughters Geraldine Rystrom of Westport, South Dakota, Barbara Peterson of Selah, Washington, and Juanita Talmadge of Port Orchard; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial donations may be made to either American Heart Association or a public Library.
