Howard A. Anderson died February 23, 2003 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was 55.He was born August 27, 1947 in Gig Harbor, Washington to Dean and Darlene (Fisher) Anderson.He attended high school at South Kitsap High School and at Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor, Washington.He married Penney J. (Beatty) Anderson on December 31, 1994 in Bremerton, Washington.Howard worked 32 years as a heavy equipment operator for Scarsella Brothers Construction Company of Seattle, Washington.He was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local 612 of Tacoma and Local 302 of Bremerton.Howard is survived by his wife, Penney J. (Beatty) Anderson of the family home in Gig Harbor, Washington; his mother, Darlene (Fisher) Anderson of Port Orchard, Washington; sons - Darell Anthony Anderson and Daniel Troy Anderson (both of Purdy, Washington); step-son, Jacob Goranson of Gig Harbor, Washington; daughter - Rhonda Joleen Anderson of Purdy, Washington; step-daughters - Amber Goranson of Tacoma, Washington and Heather Ruckman of Gig Harbor, Washington; brother - Melvin Anderson of Tacoma; sister - Kristen LaVern Anderson of Olalla, Washington; 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Heather, Delaney, Alyssa, Alexandra, Julia, Devon. He was preceded in death by : father, Dean Anderson and by brother, Dennis Dean Anderson.A funeral service will be held Friday, February 28, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington.Interment will follow at the Fraola Cemetery in Port Orchard, Washington at 3:00 p.m. - also February 28, 2003.Memorial Donations may be made to:American Cancer SocietyKitsap UnitP.O.
