Ina Fay Cheyney, 62, died at her home in Seabeck, Washington on January 4, 2000. She was born March 6, 1937 in Mason City, Washington to John Wendall & Evelyn Mae (Sumner) Steiner. Ina was raised in Home, Washington and attended Peninsula High School in Purdy. She married Thorn Cheyney on May 20, 1955 in Lakebay, Washington. Mrs. Cheyney enjoyed bingo, fishing, shrimping and crabbing. She also enjoyed trips to Lapush, Washington and RV'ing. She was a caring mom, grandmother and friend. Survivors include her husband; son Bruce Cheyney of Port Orchard, Washington; daughters Arlene Comer of Bremerton, Washington, Debra Bell of Port Orchard, and Patricia Pallanes of Silverdale, Washington; brothers John Steiner of Lake Cushman, Washington, Fred & Ron Beglau of Key Center, Washington, Jerry Beglau of Auburn, Washington; sister Sherri Osinski of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren Chastity Brown and Amy Kilham of Port Townsend, Washington, Jesse Shaw of Bremerton, Mike and John Bray of Port Orchard, and Noal Hall, Jr. of Ronan, Montana; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Thorn Cheyney III (little Thorn), a brother Robert and sister Donna. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2000 at 11:00am at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
