Irene Foster of Port Orchard, Washington died of cancer December 27, 2003 at her home. She was 90. She was born August 31, 1913 in Bonita, Texas to Cager and Carrie (Admire) Smith. Irene married Benjamin Brian Foster Juy 25, 1935 in Clovis, New Mexico. She graduated from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, Texas in 1930. She worked as a Medical Librarian for 25 years - retiring in 1974. Irene was a beach comber, rock hound, camper and traveler. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Irene is survived by sons - Keith Foster of Eudora, Kansas, David Foster of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers - JC Smith of Searcy, Arkansas, Billy Smith of Campbellsville, Kentucky; sister - June Slaughter (Smith) of Meredian, Idaho; 6 grandchildren (Charles Foster, Kenneth Foster, Anthony Foster, Kara Heilman, Suzanne Foster, Kathleen Brown); 7 great-grandchildren (Heather and Adam Foster, Jeremiah Foster, Brionne Foster, Alex and Madeleine Brown and Colin Heilman). She was preceded in death by: husband - Benjamin Foster; sisters - Leola Rials and Alice Bremer; brothers - Norman and Bob Smith. A visitations will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington Tuesday, December 30, 2003 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Wednesday December 31, 2003 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Friday, January 2, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park (Rancho Palos Verdes, California).
