Irene Grinenko

Irene Grinenko, 78, died at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington on December 9, 2000. She was born in Poland on March 19, 1922 to Joseph & Julia (Wollensky) Kodelsky. She graduated from high school and attended 3 years of college in Poland. Irene married Jurij Grinenko in October 1950 in Paris, France. He preceded her in death in 1995.Mrs. Grinenko worked for 25 years as a Medical Technician, reitiring in 1985. She worked for the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center and previously for Childrens Hospital, both in Philadephia, Pennsylvania. Irene enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, crafts, and both oil and pastel painting. She was a member of the Ukranian Catholic Church.Surviving are her sons George Grinenko of Lansdale, Pennsylvania and Alexander Grinenko of Port Orchard; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother Igor Kodelsky.Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 13, 2000 at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard in the Activity Room.
