Mr.Irvin M."Speedy" Gulbranson, Age: 88, died at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on March 16, 2002. He had been a resident of Port Orchard, Washington.Mr.Gulbranson was born on November 14, 1913 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Iver and Martha(Strandvold)Gulbranson. He married Lavina Heath on June 2, 1943. She preceded him in death in 1992."Speedy" was a Rigger at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton for over 29 years. He retired from PSNS in 1972. He truly enjoyed deer hunting. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard."Speedy" is survived by son, Gaylen and his wife, Pam Gulbranson of Peoria, Arizona; son, Orville and his wife, Katie Gulbranson of Rochester, Washington; a brother, Iver Gulbranson of Alexandria, Minnesota; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.Visitation for "Speedy" is scheduled on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at 2:00 p.m., at First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard. Pastor Alan Cudahy will be officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.
