Ivan Lee Davies, of Belfair, passed away at Harrison Hospital on January 28, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born in Marlette MI to Alvin & Beulah Davies. He graduated from Marlette HS in 1954 where he participated in all sports. After high school, Ivan joined the Navy serving 10 yrs. While stationed in Bremerton, he met his future wife Bonnie. They were married for 51 years, 46 of those years were spent at the family home on Tiger Lake. Ivan retired from civil service in 1991 from PERA-CV where he traveled extensively. He was also a volunteer Reserve Deputy for both Mason & Kitsap Counties. He was an avid fan of the Seahawks & the Mariners. He & Bonnie were snowbirds in Southern California for many years, and he golfed to his heart’s content, a very nice retirement.
Ivan is survived by his wife Bonnie; mother-in-law Gladys Brown; daughter Barbra (Jerone) Cook; sons Steven Davies & Douglas (Leslie) Davies, all of Belfair; brother Charles (Shirley) Davies of Caro, MI; sister Donna (Ted) Patrick of Kingston MI & many nieces & nephews. Grandchildren Brianna, Danielle & Michelle Cook, Jackie Sprynczynatyk, Jessica (Devon) Watson, Amy (Hans) Eldridge & Kevin Davies. Ivan also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren who nicknamed him “PAPA GG”. He was predeceased by his parents & brother Gerald Davies.
The family would like to thank Dr. Fred Dore, Dr. Roger Eagan, Dr. Jacob Mathew & Life Care Center for their tender care of Ivan.
Memorial service to be held at 11 am Saturday, February 14th at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Those attending are encourage to wear Seahawks gear. Reception will follow service immediately after at Rill's Life Tribute Center.
