Ivan E. MacDiarmid 64, of Port Orchard, Washington died Monday, August 30, 2004 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Ivan was born November 20, 1939 in Rugby, North Dakota to Donald and Hildegard (Sitz) MacDiarmid. He graduated from Stevensville high school in Stevensville, Montana and atteded the University of Montana in Missoula, for three years. Ivan married Sandra June 5, 1976 in Reno, Nevanda. Ivan became a union jouneyman carpenter and worked though out the west including the Flaming Gorge Dam in Utah and the Hood Canal Bridge in Washington State. He was a former umpire with South Kitsap Little League in Port Orchard, Washington. His main interest was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ivan is survived by his wife Sandra of the family home in Port Orchard, Washington; four sons Karl and wife Joy of Henderson, Nevada, Lee and wife Mary of Vernonia, Oregon, Neil and wife Carla of Port Orchard, Stuart and wife Amber also of Port Orchard; two daughters Alexis MacDiarmid of Helena, Montana, Deidre and husband Jon Becker also of Helena; brother David MacDiarmid of Richmond, California; sister Marilyn Loskot of Platina, California; seventeen grandchildren Jonathan, Taylor, Amy, Troy, Rebecca, Rachel, Sarah, Leah, Franklin, Jessie, Jacob, Kathy, Joseph, Austin, Ally, Owen, and Carter; three great grandchldren Jaydn, Michael, and Jordan. Ivan is preceded in death by a son Ian. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, One St. Jude Place Building, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 300, Memphis, Tnennessee.
