Ivan Miller

Ivan James Miller, age 54, died August 10, 1999 at Franciscan Health Care Center in Tacoma, WA.  He was born Dec. 12, 1944, in Beulah, N.D. to Paul and Linda (Schwartzman) Miller.  He was raised and educated in Vashon Island.  He married Georgia Ann Hassett on Feb. 19, 1983 in Burien.  Mr. Miller served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1965 as a motor pool mechanic.  Later, he worked as an auto mechanic for 10 years with Ball Auto Repair in Tacoma.  He was a member of the Port Orchard Eagles.   Survivors include his wife; his parents, Paul and Linda Miller of Port Orchard, WA., four daughters, Dorothy Sternod of Covington, WA., Darcy Blach of Burien, WA., Karla Diehl of Ballard, WA., Amber Hoffman of Burien, WA., two brothers, Bob Miller of Olalla, WA., Paul Miller Jr. of Fox Island, WA., grandchildren Andrew, Holly, Matthew, and Lukas all of Covington, WA.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Pendleton Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Sunset Lane Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Parkland Fire District, 17420 22nd Ave. E., Tacoma, WA 98445 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
