Jack John Romano of Port Orchard, Washington died of natural causes March 17, 2004 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was 51. He was born July 30, 1952 in Jamaica, New York. Jack graduated from Apple Valley Senior High School in Apple Valley, California in 1970. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy from 1970 - 1993. He attained rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. Jack received the Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Star and 5 Good Conduct Awards. He enjoyed Mech Warrior and Mage Knights (games), bowling, gold panning, treasure hunting, family and friends. He was a member of Sons of Italy, Lions Club, Fleet Reserve. Jack was Catholic. He is survived by his mother - Josephine Bauer of Anderson, California; wife - Inok Romano of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter - Jina "P.J." Lee Romano of Port Orchard, Washington; sisters - Pauline Hughes of Hesperia, California, Eva Taylor of Cottonwood, California, Donna Jo Peckham of Cottonwood, California; uncle - Larry Coccomo. A visitation will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on March 24, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at sea will be conducted by the U.S. Navy.
