Jack Veitch

Jack E. Veitch, 59, of Belfair passed away February 26, 2009. He was born July 10, 1949 to Earl & ‘Dolly’ Veitch in Seattle, Washington, the second of six boys. Jack graduated from North Mason High School, class of 1968. He later graduated from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy in 1975.  For the past 29 years he worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.  Jack married Christie in 1987 and they enjoyed over 21 years together. They enjoyed gardening & taking care of their home and going to Bingo on Saturday nights with Bruce & Susie. Jack also enjoyed hunting and fishing at the lake with his brothers and friends. He was a diehard Husky football fan, rarely missing a game.  Jack is survived by his loving wife, Christie; Daughters  Jamie (Al) Burdwood & Angie (Rob) Cappa; Sons, Kevin Veitch & John (Diana) Ison; Brothers Andy (Sue), Chuck, Bruce (Susie), Chris, Duane (Lynn) Veitch; Father & Mother-in-law Russ & Barbara Dahl; Sisters-in-law Arlene (Terry) McKean & Gail Dahl; Grandchildren Tracy, Sloan, Sonja, Derek, Kyle and Kaydee; numerous nieces & nephews; and his beloved little Norwich Terrier Reba Jean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Gladys ‘Dolly’ Veitch and Reba’s big brother Lenny.  Funeral services will be 1:30pm on Friday, March 6th at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  In lieu of flowers please consider donations to a charity of your choice.  Jack was a very loving and helpful person to those he cared about and he will be greatly missed.
