Jacqueline Viann Downey Jacqueline Viann died of cancer at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on October 13, 2004. She was 72. She was born to Loyal E. and Viann K. (Staudinger) Davis on January 4, 1932 in Seattle, Washington. She married Cairn Cross "CC" Downey in Seattle, Washington on February 17, 1956. He died in 2000. Jacqueline graduated from West Seattle High School in Seattle, Washington in 1950; and graduated from college in San Francisco, California in 1952. She worked as a dental assistant for 8 years; and, also, worked in retail sales in various establishments on a part time basis for 15 years. She was a member of Children's Hospital Orthopedic Guild, Bethany Lutheran Ladies Guild, was past treasurer of Evangelical Lutheran Ladies Mission Rally; volunteered at Bethany Lutheran Elementary School and Group Health Cooperative. Her hobbies included family, friends, reading and gardening. She was a Lutheran. Jacqueline is survived by daughters - Leigh C. Snyder (& husband, Michael J.) and Patricia Viann Downey - all of Port Orchard, Washington; 2 grandchildren: Cairn C. Day (& husband, Ryan) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Katie M. Snyder of Port Orchard, Washington; 2 great-grandchildren: Eli M. Day and Josiah C. Day of Colorado Springs, Colorado. A memorial service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, Washington on October 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to: Bethany Lutheran Church or Ladies Guild 151 Tremont W.
