Jacqueline Payne

Jacqueline S. Payne, 67, a resident of Bremerton died of heart failure in Bremerton on September 5, 2012 with her husband and other loved ones by her side. She was born February 28, 1945 in Bremerton to John R. and Mary (Fraser) Hines. She married James E. Payne in Long Beach, CA on December 27, 1965. She graduated from East Bremerton HS in 1963 and Olympic College in 1967. She had a BS in Nursing and a BA in Medical Records. She worked in Nursing and medical records for 45 years beginning as a Candy Striper. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Parrish and the Silverdale Crochet Club. She loved to cook and bake especially for holidays and other big family gatherings also enjoyed networking on Face Book and playing computer games. She is survived by her loving husband Jim of 48 years; sister Patty Mitchell (Charley) of Packwood, Joyce Wilson (Harold) of Seattle and twin sister Martha Dodds of Clovis, NM; and the many nieces and nephews she was a second mom to. She was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Blackwood, Eva Polk and Edna Jensen and brother Dale Hines. There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
