Mr. James C. Irish, known to many as ''Jim'', resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died of natural causes on June 26, 2001, at his residence. Mr. Irish was born on July 19, 1926 in Bismarck, North Dakota. He graduated from Puyallup High School, in Puyallup, Washington, in 1946. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946. He earned an Army Occupation Medal (Germany),European-Africa-Middle Eastern Service Medal and a Victory Medal.Mr. Irish was a Welding Instructor for 33 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. He retired in 1981.Mr. Irish met and married his wife, Dorothy Simpson, on January 28, 1966. Dorothy preceded Jim in death, passing away in 1993. The couple are survived by sons, John Simpson of Olympia, Washington, Richard Simpson of Finley, North Dakota, Gordon Eslava of Bremerton, Washington; daughters, Wanda Rollman of Tumwater, Washington, Opeal Bame of Port Orchard, Washington, and Lark Vincent of Chelan, Washington. They are also survived by twenty five grandchildren and twenty six great-grandchildren.Mr. Irish enjoyed fishing and gardening.A Gravesite Inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Sunset Lane Cemetery. The public is invited to attend.
