James Cross

James S. "Jim" Cross, 49, of Ocean Shores, Washington died May 12, 2003 at his home. He was born on August 15, 1953 in Schenectady, New York to Sherman & Marion (Carey) Cross. He attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington, graduating in 1971. Mr. Cross was a Sergeant E5 in the US Marines from 1971-1978. He went on to work in law enforcement at Kwajalein Island, Lake George, NY, Clallum Bay, WA and Pacific County, WA for 25 years.He was a member of the VFW in Port Orchard, Sequim, Ocean Shores and Raymond, WA. He enjoyed trout fishing, panning for gold, working on mechanical items like cars and fishing reels. He had a great sense of humor.Mr. Cross is survived by his mother and step-father, Albert & Marion Morris of Port Orchard, 3 brothers, Stephen Cross of Green River, WY, David Cross of Santa Maria, CA and John Morris of Port Orchard. Funeral services for Mr. Cross will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday May 19, 2003 at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, WA. Interment will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. Memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, Washington Affiliate, PMB 202, 8205 E.
