James Rodney Hausner

James Rodney Hausner (74) passed away on April 2, 2013 at his home in Port Orchard, Washington.

Born Sept. 9, 1938 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, to John and Leona Doughtery, James – known simply as Jim to most who loved him – was adopted by Robert W. Hausner in 1945. He graduated from Logan High School in LaCrosse, then served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years, retiring in 1981. While in the military, he traveled extensively throughout the world. He was a Vietnam veteran. Upon retirement from the military, he worked for the Washington state Department of Corrections. He dedicated his life to serving his country and his community.

James lived in Ajo, Arizona, for 17 years before returning to Washington state in 2011. He loved his many friends, his cozy home, the Ajo weather, and the Lions Club, of which he was a member.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Hausner. Survivors include his wife Bonnie, sons James Hausner, Nick Hausner, Raymond Norton, Robert H. Wieman III, and John Wieman, daughter Victoria Arnett, and grandchildren Adam Wieman, Bailey Arnett, and Lily Arnett.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
