James Helgeson

James W. Helgeson, 73, a resident of Port Orchard, died September 5, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Gig Harbor. He was born September 7, 1938 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Edwin and Ruth (Linseth) Helgeson. He graduated from Watford City HS in ND in 1956 and served in the United States Marine Corps for two years. After his service in the Corps, he worked for various State and Federal Government institutions as a pipefitter until he was medically retired. He was a Christian and enjoyed fishing and hunting and his grandchildren. He is survived by daughters Shelly Bearden (Gary) and their children Chase and Jurnee, and Susan Wetch and her son Jaycide; sisters Sheryl Lillibridge (LeRoy) of ND and Seleste Ferreira (John) of Bremerton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Celebration of life will be at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Wednesday, September 12th at 2:00 pm, interment at Tahoma National Cemetery on Thursday, September 13th at 11:00 am.
