James Michael Howlett, 51 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on February 1, 2010. He was born August 21, 1958 in St. Louis, MO to William & Betty (Minarik) Howlett. He graduated from Bayless HS in St. Louis in 1976. James worked for 16 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an Engineer, retiring in 1996. He also served in the U.S. Navy. James was a volunteer in many areas of his church including Men's Ministries, Royal Rangers and anywhere else he was needed. He had an "open door" policy and was always there with an ear to listen and friendly advice. Surviving are son Seth Howlett; daughters Crystal (Ryan) Liss, Michelle Hunter, Deborah Howlett & Brandie Howlett; mother Betty Howlett of St. Louis, MO; sister Jana (Don) Terovich; and grandchildren Elijah & Eric. He was preceded in death in 2007 by daughter Tiffany Howlett and his father in 2001. Memorial Service at 1:00 pm on February 9, 2010 at Family Worship Center in Gorst.
