James Leslie Klinger, 44, died at his home in Kent, Washington on April 26, 2001. He was born in Long Beach, California on February 22, 1957 to Harry Leslie & Mary Louise (Klasges) Klinger, Jr. James graduated from the University of California in 1979.Mr. Klinger served in the U.S. Air Force from 1977 to 1994 working as an air crew electronic warfare systems craftsman. He retired as an E6, TSGT in 1994, earning the Air Medal with 1 oak leaf cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal, and other awards. James enjoyed tennis, fencing, flying, and computers.Survivors include his mother Mary Klinger of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers Peter C. Klinger & Richard A. Klinger, both of Port Orchard; brother-in-law Terry Troxel; sister Doris M. Troxel of Ontario, California; and sister-in-law Nita Y. Klinger.Funeral Mass at 10:00am on Friday, May 4, 2001 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard with interment following at 12:30pm at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
