James Lee, 76, passed away suddenly at his home in Port Orchard Washington on January 5, 2018. He was born on October 22, 1941 in Eureka Kansas to Robert and Harriet Lee.
Jim moved around quite a bit in his early years because his father was in the Army but after the death of his mother went to live with his grandparents in Garnett Kansas. He married Peggy Lee on August 28, 2001 and lived in Port Orchard until his death on January 5th.
Jim has four daughters, Laura Guinn of Kansas City Missouri, Cathy Montgomery of Lawrence Kansas, Carol Emery of Atchison Kansas, and Alisa Lynch of Tukwila Washington. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Lee of Tacoma Washington, and two sisters Karen Carlson of Gig Harbor Washington and Linda Butler of Canyonville Oregon.
Jim worked as a fire fighter in Kansas before moving to Washington, later he was an Instructor at Bates College, and finally a mechanic at local bowling centers.
Jim was an avid model airplane flyer (check out his UTUBE videos at 12Mistizo34) and loved touring on his Gold Wing motorcycle.
Jim was a wonderful man who laughed often and loved to hear a good joke and to tell one. He always loved and cared for his family both in Kansas and in Washington. There will never be another like him and he will forever be missed by family and friends.
