James J. Loran, 67 of Port Orchard, Washington died February 12, 2008 from a lingering illness. He was born in Seattle, Washington on July 2, 1940 to Jake & June Loran. Jim spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy in the Communications Department and over 20 years working on Tow Boats for different tow boat companies in Seattle. He also worked for 10 years, retiring from White Center Salvation Army as a maintenance person. Surviving are his wife Nancy; stepchildren Bonnie (Gary) Stanton of Port Orchard, Susan (Al) Bensen of Denver, Colorado, Terry Starkweather of Seattle, Washington, Carol (Jim) Lockrem of LaConnor, Washington, and Michele Starkweather of Port Orchard; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life service at 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard with visitation prior to the service from 10:00 am to Noon.
