James "Jim" F. Matala died November 28, 2002 at Harrison Hospital, Bremerton, Washington. He was 62.He was born October 4, 1940 in Eynon, Pennsylvania to Anthony and Cecelia (Chervinak) Matala.James married Kathryn (Breuner) Matala June 25, 1966 in Cupertino, California.He graduated from high school and the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1962.He worked 30 years as an Electrical Engineer for General Electric.He loved being outdoors (camping); baseball - especially the Mariniers; and, was a devoted husband and father.He is survived by his wife Kathryn Matala of the family home in Bremerton, Washington; parents Anthony and Cecelia Matala of Eynon, Pennsylvania; sons - Chris Matala of Gig Harbor, Washington and Andrew Matala of Juneau, Alaska; daughters - Kathryn Matala of Spokane, Washington and Adrea Adler of Kelso, Washington; brother - Anthony Matala of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and, sister - Patricia Matala of Eynon, Pennsylvania.
