James Neil Reeves died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on September 28, 2002 following complications of Parkinson's Disease. He was 77.He was born November 24, 1924 in Bainbridge, Indiana to John and Alice (Fisher) Reeves.James married Shirley E. (Kamholtz) Reeves June 21, 1944 in Port Orchard, Washington.He attended high school in Indiana; and, served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII on the U.S.S. West Virginia.James was a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years - retiring in 1981.He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and grandchildren. He is a Christian.James is survived by his wife Shirley Reeves of the family home in Port Orchard, Washington; daughters - Cheryl Mannick (and husband Dennis) of Port Orchard, Washington, Marcia Parker (and husband Wayne) and Bonnie Thorsen (and husband Tom) of Bremerton, Washington; sister - Edith Lawson of St. Petersburg, Florida; 5 grandchildren: Neil Sherk, Lynn Sherk, Ryan Parker, Michelle Welch, Kellie (Parker) McClain and husband Jason; 2 great-grandchildren: Damien Johnson and Makaylee McClain. He was preceded in death by five sisters and 2 brothers.A private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Lane Cemtery.
